Essays and journalism allow me to tell stories about my experiences and observations in and of the world around me. My work has appeared in news outlets including the Daily Hampshire Gazette, Seattle Times, Boston Globe, and Science News as well as literary journals like Terrain.org, The Common, and the Dr. T.J. Eckleburg Review. See below for selected essays and my most recent work via my blog. I also work with students at Smith College as a professor and editor and have helped shepherd many of their pieces to publication.
